Hello there, thank you for coming to our page! We wanted to introduce ourself before we dove in deep in sharing our past travels around Spain and our plans for this blog.

Hiking somewhere in Catalunya

We are a couple who met here in Barcelona and are both lovers of discovering new places, the past year we have been mainly traveling around and near Catalunya and have realised how well located Barcelona is, especially if you love to travel well, be in nature and not max out your credit card! So since Tomas has plenty of experience in nature sports and I have a serious addiction for photography and never put down my camera, we’ve decided it’s time to document and share our trips and plan our future trips focused around what we love - traveling in nature on a budget and finding incredible views. We wanted to start of our blog by sharing one of our memories from our first date in Costa Brava!

Cala del Senyor Ramon, Girona Costa Brava

March 2019

Back last year we decided to take a trip to Costa Brava as I was in the middle of my second semester at university and Tomas was on his holidays - we both needed a well deserved break. We hadn’t planned where we were going, just thought we’d go by car and find a beach. Tomas had pre-arranged how we were getting there and to my surprise picked me up in a Mini Smart car he borrowed from his friend, as you can imagine it was a pretty cramped, no space kinda first date.

It took us roughly 2 hours from Barcelona to get there in our “ultra fast” car and was a pretty straightforward drive, the cala (bay) is well signed and easy to locate. It was very empty around March as the beach season had hardly started and we were pretty much the only people on the beach apart from one dog walker. Note, if you going to Costa Brava in March take a pull over you might be in Spain but it’s still Europe and it gets cold also come with food prepared because most restaurants near the Cala del Senyor Ramon are closed in March. All in all, it was a beautiful day and despite the cold wind and no pull over, we managed to enjoy the day and see some draw dropping views.

We would defiantly recommend!
